Kelly Osbourne, daughter of musician Ozzy and star of the
reality TV series 'The Osbournes', is to star in an American
pilot drama based on the book 'Doing It' by Melvin Burgess.
The controversial young-adult novel centres on the sexual antics of three 16-year-old
boys: Dino, Jonathan and Ben.
The television series will be adapted from the original
novel and will be set in Seattle. Osbourne will play a love
interest for Jonathan.
Children's laureate Anne Fine launched a scathing attack
on the book last year. In a lengthy article in the Guardian
on Saturday she even called for the 'grubby book' to be
'pulped'.
