Anderson Press, publisher of 'Doing It' by Melvin Burgess,
is to bring forward publication of the book after it was
attacked by Anne Fine.
Anne Fine, the current Children's Laureate, launched a
scathing attack on the book and its publishers in a review
in the Guardian Newspaper (29th March), and even called
for it to be 'pulped'.
Burgess appeared on the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio 2
(Tuesday 1st April) to respond to the Anne Fine review of
his book.
The furore has intensified interest in 'Doing It' and publication
has been bought forward from the 22nd May to the 1st of
May
'Doing It', will be published in hardback by Anderson Press
in May 2003.
