Pop
superstar Madonna is planning a Harry Potteresque assault
on book stores around the world for the launch of her first
children's book.
The book, entitled 'The English Roses', will be published
simultaneously in 30 languages and in 100 countries on September
15.
Her fame will undoubtedly help to sell the book which is
the first in a series of five titles and the first published
novel she has written.
Madonna will be in Paris to unveil the book which is the
first of five volumes, each illustrated by a well-known
illustrator.
Details of the highly anticipated book remain vague although
it is known that the stories will be based on Hebrew texts
that Madonna is studying from the Kabbalah religion.
She has previously expressed her to desire to write books
that are deeper than the other "vapid and vacant"
titles for youngsters.
The books publisher is quoted as saying that the book is
about "feeling green with envy, blue with loneliness,
pink with embarrassment, purple with rage and how to find
true-blue friends."
