A publication date of the 12th of June for the Frances Lincoln Anti-War Anthology has been confirmed. All profits and royalties will go to UNICEF's emergency appeal for the children of Iraq.

Nearly 150 writers and artists including some of the industry's most prestigious and talented authors and illustrators from David Almond, Michael Rosen and Kevin Crossley-Holland to Jane Ray, Chris Riddell and Nick Sharratt have donated prose, poems and illustrations.

The contributions are international with
submissions from Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Greece, Japan, Turkey
and the USA.

All the material is new or very recent with 95% of writers the writers involved contributing new work for this anthology. All the artists involved are also donating their original artwork for an auction, whose proceeds will also go to the charity.

The book will cover a variety of wars including the two World Wars, the Falklands, Afghanistan, Nigeria, the Gulf wars, Kosovo, the Spanish Civil War, conflicts in Croatia, Cyprus and visions of alternative futures in a world without war or still devastated by it.
