|
The story
is about Ruskin Splinter who wants to be the hero in the school

tells how these two characters change through having to deal
with Krindlekrax.

Book's strengths:
Which characters did you especially like and why?
|
| We especially
like Elvis because he is obsessed with his basketball and
constantly bounces it where-ever he goes. We like Ruskin's
Mum because she says silly things. Mr. Lace, the teacher is
addicted to Shakespeare and falls over in tears whenever his
name is mentioned. |
|

Which parts of the storyline really worked well and why?:
|
We thought
that the part when Corky Pigeon died was the most powerful
because we were not expecting it and it had a devastating
affect on Ruskin.
|
|

What did you enjoy about the writers style?:
|
| We liked
the writer's way of making the characters say silly things
repetitively. We liked the use of flashbacks to fill the reader
in on the past and we liked its strangeness. |
|

Book weakness:
Which characters in the book were less believable or
interesting?
|
| None
of them. |
|

Which parts of the book were difficult to follow or not
believable?:
|
| We thought
it was a bit much to expect the reader to go along with Winston
stealing the crocodile from the zoo so that he could be popular
with Mr. Cave. |
|

When did the writer's style not work as well?:
|
| We were
happy with it. |
|

Summary of the book, overall opinion of the book:
|
| It was
a brilliant and funny book and its message was to persevere
and to believe in yourself. |
