The story is about a four week old baby that can talk. The characters are George the little baby and his sister Laura and his mother. Laura was amused because her brother was talking at such a young age.


Book's strengths:
Which characters did you especially like and why?

I like George the most because he was sometimes cheeky and funny.


Which parts of the storyline really worked well and why?:

I think the part where George starts to speak goes really well because he explains how he could talk.


What did you enjoy about the writers style?:

I enjoyed the way the writer made the book exciting and described everything really carefully.


Book weakness:
Which characters in the book were less believable or interesting?

Laura was less believeable because she said to her mum that George looked clever but she didn't believe her.


Which parts of the book were difficult to follow or not believable?:

There were no unbelieveable bits or parts that were difficult to follow.


When did the writer's style not work as well?:

I think the writers style worked well all through the book.


Summary of the book, overall opinion of the book:

I would recommend this book to children 5 years and over. I think Dick King-Smith wrote the book very well.
