The story is about a boy called Charlie. One day Charlie won a golden ticket in a Wonka chocolate bar saying you have won a chance to visit my chocolate factory and you will be given a life supply of chocolate.

Which characters did you especially like and why?

I especially like Mr. Wonka because he was funny.


Which parts of the storyline really worked well and why?:

I think the golden ticket because you win it in a chocolate bar.


What did you enjoy about the writers style?:

I liked the way he made the story funny and exciting.


Book weakness:
Which characters in the book were less believable or interesting?

I thought the bit where the Palace was melting in the sun on a beach was less believable.


Which parts of the book were difficult to follow or not believable?:

I thought the gum machine that mixed gum and chocolate was not believable.


When did the writer's style not work as well?:

Where he met Mr. Wonka. I thought that bit wasn't very exciting.


Summary of the book, overall opinion of the book:

I liked it when Charlie won the golden ticket and I recommend the book to children 8 years and over.
