Matt
Whyman graduated from the UEA's Creative Writing MA in the
early Nineties. By the middle of the decade he was asked
by 19 Magazine if he would like to try his hand as
an agony uncle.
Matt
has written both adult and children's books and is the author
of several advice books for young people including three
books in the Hodder Wise Guides series. His latest
book is XY, a guide for teenage boys that covers
all the questions and issues Matt, as an agony uncle, is
asked about, from puberty and private parts to smoking,
girls, mates and home life.
Matt's
adult books, both works of fiction, are Man or Mouse
and Columbia Road, he is also working on his
first teen fiction novel, Superhuman, which is due
for release in March 2003.
Matt
lives in East London and also writes advice columns for
Bliss and for the Internet portal AOL in the UK,
he also contributes to the online advice resource for young
people TheSite.org,
described as a guide to life for young adults aged 16-25.
Matt has also appeared on Radio and television.
