James Carter
James Carter is an exciting new voice, imaginative and innovative

James Carter is a widely anthologized children's poet and has appeared in over 50 poetry collections. His critically acclaimed collection of children's poems, 'Cars Stars Electric Guitars' is a recommended Poetry Bookshelf title.

As well as writing poetry James also performs his poetry in schools and libraries, runs poetry workshops and conducts other author events and residencies.

He has also written a number of books on the writing process and has conducted interviews with a number of children’s authors for 'Literacy & Learning' education magazine - including Allan Ahlberg, Morris Gleitzman, David Almond, Nick Sharratt, Michael Morpurgo and publisher David Fickling.

James lives in Oxfordshire.
