What was your favourite subject at school?
English.

What are your ambitions?
To be a better writer and to widen my range of writing.

What do you like most about being a writer?
Knowing that there are readers out there who enjoy my work.

Where do you live?
Harrow and Herefordshire.

Do you have any pets?
A visiting tortoise.

How do you like to spend your spare time?
Walking, swimming, digging, reading, theatre-going, cycling.

What is your favourite food?
Cant t decide between Italian, French or the best of British!

What is your favourite music?
Mozart.

What is your greatest extravagance?
My wife and theatre-going.

What is your best quality?
Making people laugh.

What is your worst quality?
Procrastination and laziness.

Where is your favourite place?
Herefordshire.

Who were your favourite authors as a child and who are your favourite authors now?
AA Milne, Lewis Carroll, K Graham, Dickens, Updike and Waugh.

What was your favourite childhood toy?
Garage and Dinky Cars.

Which famous person, dead or alive, do you identify with?
I can't choose between the lion, the witch or the wardrobe, but probably the latter.

How do you relax?
Horizontally.

Mornings 6.30 - lunchtime and then in the gaps if I'm going well. I use a word processor but always scribble notes first.

What do you always carry with you?
Wallet, address-book, paper, pencil/pen.
