Valerie Bloom has performed her poetry extensively
throughout Britain and the Caribbean in schools, universities,
theatres, at festivals such as Hay-on-Wye, Cheltenham and
Womad, and on radio and television. She has run writing
courses for the Arvon Foundation, tn-service courses for
teachers and librarians, and writing workshops in schools
and colleges.
Her poems have been included in a number of collections
including the Poems on the Underground and in The
Independent, in the CXC Examination Syllabus for Caribbean
Schools, and in the NEAB 1998/99 GCSE English/English Literature
Anthology.
Valerie is presently writing, performing and conducting
workshops full time.
