Jane
Grell - born on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean.
She has been running poetry and storytelling workshops for
adults and children since 1986.
Jane's
work has been published in Macdonald Young History Series,
in anthologies by Hawthorn Press, Kingfisher and Scholastic
Educational. Her publications include: A New Life in Britain
and Dominica, a small Caribbean Island. Her work has been
highly anthologized and more recently in IC3, The
Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain.
Her
collection of children's poetry Doctor Knickerbocker
and Other Poems is used as a core reading book in many
primary schools. She has worked as a writer/presenter on
BBC School Radio.
Jane
caters for all ages and venues through song, rhyme, poetry,
stories, drama and dance.
